Maria B. Carrasco, MSc, HRBP
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer
Maria B. Carrasco is a strategic, impact-driven executive with over 15 years of leadership across health, technology, and organizational transformation. As CEO of HormonaLab, she drives innovation, clinical partnerships, and growth to scale solutions for women and gender-diverse people navigating menopause—especially in high-stress professions.
Her background spans Learning & Development and Organizational Development across the Americas, where she led coaching, performance, and inclusion programs for global teams. She’s also worked as a healthcare interpreter and served as a grant reviewer with the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Maria holds a Master’s in Leadership and Business and certification as a Human Resources Business Partner, bringing operational rigor, sharp vision, and a human-centered approach to everything she builds.

Nancy Tahmo, MPH
Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer
Nancy is an epidemiologist and data scientist with over three years of experience turning complex health data into practical, user-facing tools. She’s completing a PhD at the University of Toronto, where her research focuses on predictive modeling for health outcomes using AI and real-world data.
At HormonaLab, Nancy leads product development and data strategy, designing the engine behind our symptom forecasts, translating research into features people actually use, and making sure we build with both scientific integrity and user trust. She thrives at the intersection of health, technology, and equity, and is driven by a belief that everyone deserves better tools to navigate midlife health.

Jonathan Imms, (BSc)
Technical Advisor & Web Developer
Jon is a full-stack developer with over a decade of experience building secure, scalable web platforms. Currently a Web Developer II at Buildertrend, he’s worked on high-traffic SaaS products, with a focus on clean architecture, performance, and usability.
At HormonaLab, Jonathan advises on technical architecture, app development, and backend integrations—ensuring our platform is reliable, privacy-first, and ready to scale. He brings a practical, execution-focused mindset to every sprint, helping us bridge the gap between concept and code.
